from the President
SK
KAKEN CO LTD
was founded in 1955 as SHIKOKU KAGAKU KENKYUSHO to recycle solvents and
develop paint products. We have pursued the ideal company system by conquering
business and technical difficulties through our dedicated employees, bearing
in mind the entrepreneurial spirit of "developing something from
nothing". This spirit combined with our commitment to research and
development enables SKK to respond to business growth opportunities and
competitiveness for the first ten years.
The
year 1968 marked a turning point in SKK’s history. Our spray coatings,
developed during this time, were overwhelmingly accepted by pre-fabricated
housing makers and building owners. This proved to be a catalyst which
would propel our company into the forefront of paint manufacturing, especially
for the spray coating business.
The
oil crisis in 1973 brought us both problems and success.
Unique
products such as new water-based paint, inorganic coatings, inorganic
heat insulation products and organic/inorganic complex products, developed
in response to oil crisis, continued to be successfully marketed throughout
Japan.
Based
on our forty years of experience, we are now in a position for further
development.

chemicals.
